The M12 Longstreet Armored Walker was one of the main American walker combat unit for the first half of the Second World War. Slower but sturdier than the lighter M11 Early, it was deployed on all fronts from North Africa to the beaches of the Pacific theater. The Longstreet A1 shown at right is wearing the standard olive drab color and markings of a US Army unit.
